Job Summary

Tyner Head Drill Team Coach The Tyner Head Drill Team is a high school drill team that competes in the [National Association of Letter Carriers Service Organizations] (NALC) and the [National Association of State Directors of Ceremonies] (NASDC). The coach will be responsible for the overall direction and management of the team, including coaching the performers, managing the budget, and overseeing the team's performances at competitions.

Responsibilities

• Coach the Tyner Head Drill Team members in their performances and ensure they meet the required standards.
• Manage the team's budget and make financial decisions as necessary.
• Oversee the team's performances at competitions and ensure they are executed to the highest standard.
• Participate in meetings with other drill teams and [National Association of Letter Carriers Service Organizations] (NALC) officials to discuss competition rules and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of team activities, including attendance, finances, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in education or a related field preferred.
• Experience coaching high school drill teams or [National Association of Letter Carriers Service Organizations] (NALC) members is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary to effectively manage the team and interact with other drill teams and officials.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required for setting up equipment and transporting team materials.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move around the competition area as needed.
• May be required to work evenings and weekends, depending on competition schedule.

Salary and Benefits

• The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
