Job Title - Paraeducator - Early Literacy Tutoring Grant 2026-2027 - --- - --- - Reports to: - Program Leader/ Site Administrator - Program Dates: - October 26th, 2026 - January 27th, 2027 - Locations (Apply for up to three choices): - Roosevelt, Nelson Place, Norrback, Gates Lane - Position Purpose: - Paraeducators are responsible for supporting a 10 week family-educator learning accelerator with students and families. Sessions will be held after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The tutor will report to their school's site administrator and work as part of the school's program team. This is a great opportunity to support families in the school community and to help students accelerate their progress in learning to read. - Essential Job Functions: - Support with family orientation and team-building huddles (pre-program 1:1 family meeting). Support student instruction (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - 1 hour sessions). Support family workshops. Support the end-of-program celebration. - Minimum Qualifications: - Currently employed by the Worcester Public Schools as a Paraeducator - Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting instruction in early literacy.
