Job Summary
Hopedale Public Schools has an opening for a part-time Cafeteria Attendant at Memorial Elementary School.
Key Responsibilities
• Table & Dining Area Maintenance
• Sanitize surfaces: Wipe down cafeteria tables between each lunch.
• Respond to spills: Quickly clean up spilled food, liquids to prevent slips and falls.
• Waste Management & Trash Removal
• Empty receptacles: Monitor, empty, and replace liners in cafeteria trash cans throughout the day.
• Maintain garbage areas: Transport trash bags to designated external dumpsters.
• Floor & General Care
• Keep floors clear: Sweep and mop dining area floors to gather dropped food, dirt, and trash debris.
• Place safety signs: Always deploy “Wet floor” cautionary signs during mopping or immediate spill cleanups.

Skills and Qualifications
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of a shift, with frequent bending, lifting, and stretching.
• Lifting capacity: Capability to lift and carry heavy trash bags.
• Teamwork: Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen servers and dishwashers effectively.
Hours
Monday – Friday 10am to 1:30pm
Salary
$18.00/hour
