Responsibilities

• Assisting the EC Teacher and Classroom Teachers with daily instructional activities.
• Working with individual students and small groups to reinforce skills and learning objectives.
• Supporting the implementation of accommodations, modifications, and interventions as directed by the teacher.
• Assisting with behavior support and classroom management strategies.
• Supervising students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities as assigned.
• Preparing instructional materials and assisting with classroom organization.
• Maintaining confidentiality and supporting a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Ec Elementary Teaching Assistant

River Mill Academy - Graham, NC We are seeking a caring, dependable, and student-focused Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher Assistant to support elementary-aged students with disabilities in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development. The EC Teacher Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed teachers and administrators to provide instructional and classroom support that promotes student success.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree, Completion of at Least 48 College Credit Hours, or WorkKeys Certification.
