Job Title - Template Certified Teacher Middle/High Gifted Coordinator - Building Name - --- - --- - Job Description - Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for a middle/high school gifted coordinator position(s) available at Building Name for the 2027-28 school year. This position coordinates cluster grouping of gifted students, collaborates with cluster teachers to differentiate instruction per the written education plan, provides direct instruction to students within certification area as needed, provides professional development for teachers, counselors, and administrators in the area of gifted education. - Employment Status - Certified, 185-day Limited Employment Contract - --- - --- - Qualifications for the Position Include: - Valid and appropriate Ohio Gifted Intervention Specialist teaching certificate/license Evidence of at least three years successful teaching experience Master’s degree Alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate - Application Requirements - Internal candidates (currently employed by Olentangy Schools) must submit an internal online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring). Note: If you are an ESC employee, intern, off-staff advisor/coach, short- or long-term substitute, or student teacher, you must apply as an external candidate. External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring) and complete an online Teacher Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the attachments section of the application. The online Teacher Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled “Do not reply” with the subject “Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools Application.” Keep in mind that the Teacher Candidate Assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed within the designated time frame, and multiple attempts to complete the assessment are not permitted.
