Job Title: Social Studies Teacher - Long Term Sub (8/31/26 - 1/15/27)

Responsibilities:

* Instruct secondary school students in social studies and create a safe and orderly learning environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, lesson, and assessment design as well as achieving departmental goals.
* Utilize best practices for assessing student progress toward achievement of standard.
* Develop lessons with clear and measurable outcomes.
* Use a wide variety of teaching techniques to support student learning.
* Design and demonstrate differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students.
* Implement accommodations and curricular modifications as specified in IEPs and as needed to meet the learning needs of students.
* Use a variety of formal and informal assessments to accurately measure student progress toward and to modify further instruction.
* Utilize technology to support student learning in and out of the classroom.
* Participate actively in faculty, department, and team meetings.
* Set professional development goals, develop professional development plans, and participate in professional development activities that improve teaching practice.
* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
* Enforce all school policies and rules governing students.

Requirements:

* Have knowledge of current Massachusetts frameworks expectations for reading and writing across the curriculum.
