Facilities Worker IV - Master Plumber >Supervised by: The Maintenance Worker Plumber works under the direct supervision of the Director of Buildings, Grounds and Transportation with input from Building Principals. The Director may delegate supervision of the position to DBGT Supervisors and RPS Administrators. > >Works with: >> All maintenance personnel of BGT >> School principals >> Other RPS administrative staff >> Teachers >> Coaches >> Students.

Qualifications

Vermont State Vehicle License Required >> Ability to accept supervision. >> Ability to work with people. >> Equivalent of a High School Diploma Required. >> Possession of a CU1 Tent Vermont Master Plumbing License Required. >> Ability to obtain a valid Vermont State Bus License within 6 months of hire. >> Experience with HVAC Digital & Pneumatic Control Systems is desirable.

Basic Function

Maintains district physical plant, equipment, and property in an operational, safe, and hygienic condition by repair, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance. > >Examples of work: >> Maintains plumbing systems in schools and offices including the repair of faucets, drains, pipes and related fixtures. >> Performs plumbing work for minor modifications and new installations. >> Performs the maintenance and operation of plumbing systems. >> Responds to emergency call-outs during nights, weekends, and holidays. >> Takes rotational on-call duties as assigned. >> Drives trucks and operates other equipment and performs substitute bus driving as required. >> Performs duties as a substitute custodian as required. >> Responsible for ice control and snow removal as required. >> Performs other related duties as directed.
