Job Title - Paraprofessional - --- - --- - Job Description - (Bachelor's degree or some college coursework in education preferred. Experience working with students with special needs at the elementary level preferred. Excellent communication skills. ABA experience preferred.) - Duties to Include, But Not Limited To: - 1. The ability to work effectively with students with special needs to reinforce and support learning and skills based on the classroom teacher's instruction. - 2. Assist teachers in devising special strategies for reinforcing and supporting skills. - 3. Maintain flexibility and team attitude for responsibilities as assigned by the principal. - 4. Provide personal care for students as needed throughout the school day. - 5. Attend training as required. - 6. Assists with monitoring students taking standardized tests. - 7. Assists with other students as needed. - 8. Other duties as assigned by principal, teacher, special education teacher, or BCBA - Salaries - According to contract - Terms and Conditions - All positions are subject to qualifications, duties and rates of compensation presently in force, and subject to appropriate funding.
