Job Title - itinerant primary intervention specialist (p-3 or p-5 license) - summit esc - --- - --- - Term - 2026-2027 school year - --- - --- - Qualifications and Possible Job Duties - Bachelor's degree in Education required. Ohio SBOE licensure that includes Preschool Special Education is required - Dually licensed with Preschool General Education is preferred but not required. - --- - --- - Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings. Alternatives to the above as the board may find appropriate and acceptable. - --- - --- - Responsibilities - Work effectively with children diagnosed with special needs and behavior challenges in an alternative educational program. Provide for individual differences through an individualized educational program that is evidenced in daily planning, class activities, and assessment goals. Provide appropriate educational activities and opportunities for children with a goal of enhancing their educational, social, and emotional growth. Maintain effective communication and collaboration with administration, district of residence, and families concerning matters related to students in the program. - --- - --- - Working Conditions - This position requires travel to early care and education sites in Summit and Portage Counties by personal vehicle and may require providing services in the child's home - mileage reimbursement is available. - --- - --- - Salary - Salary schedule placement commensurate with experience and training. - --- - --- - About Us - Summit ESC is an equal opportunity employer.
