• Employment days: 190 – exact daily hours to be determined by the supervisor
• Salary rate: $26,280 - $41,691
Application Requirements
Original official transcripts must be provided at new hire orientation;
• Required documents must be scanned and uploaded in Applitrack. Documents will not be accepted otherwise.

• Copy of official transcripts verifying an Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or a minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited college;
• Copy of qualifying Praxis Paraprofessional test scores of 456 or higher.
Additional Requirements
If the applicant has not completed the test, he/she will be required to upload a Word document acknowledging that the results will be uploaded as soon as the test is completed. Please note: A delay in submitting TB test results will postpone the onboarding process.

• Negative TB test results under 1 year old. BCSD strongly encourages all applicants to upload their TB test results.

• Paraprofessional Praxis exams are offered through Berkeley County School District and Dorchester District 2.
• There is a registration cost of $75 that must be submitted at the time the test is administered.
Interview Process
• Applicants will be contacted by the school/location they have applied to within 3 weeks if selected for an interview.
• Please do not call the district regarding an interview status.
Consideration of Vacancies
• Depending on the volume of applications received, all applicants may not be interviewed for this position.
