Job Title (for context): Director of Student Leadership

The director of student leadership will be responsible for guiding and implementing the vision and goals of the student leadership team at Coleman School. This role, funded through the Feinstein Grant, focuses on cultivating leadership skills in students, supporting team initiatives, and facilitating projects that foster school and community engagement. - Essential Duties & Responsibilities - ----------------------------------------- - Recruit and interview potential members of the student leadership team. - Lead bi-weekly student leadership meetings. - Develop and facilitate agendas focused on student leadership skills. - Ensure student leaders have access to appropriate attire for events and presentations. - Coordinate and oversee a student-led project at Coleman School. - Organize class visits and discussions to promote leadership and gather input. - Guide the development of a clear team vision and collaborative goals. - Required Qualifications - ----------------------------------- - Experience working with students in leadership or mentorship roles. - Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills. - Ability to inspire and support young leaders. - Flexible availability before and after school hours. - Passion for student empowerment and community engagement.
