Bus Monitor - Substitute - Metco Program

The Cohasset Metco program has a substitute bus monitor position available. This individual will help to ensure the safety of all students on the school bus as they travel from Boston to Cohasset and Cohasset to Boston. The hours are 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Expected Duties

• Monitors the safety and well-being of all students by making sure students are always seated with their whole bodies in the seat and not in the aisles
• Ensures that every student gets on and off at their designated stop
• Maintains order
• Assists with conflicts and disputes between students
• Maintains daily attendance
• Reports, writes up, and discusses all difficulties with students to the Metco Director
• Conducts a safety sweep of the bus to ensure no student has been left behind
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the Metco Director
