Job Description

Ensure the safety of children crossing street intersections at designated crossing areas. Must wear city-provided safety vest and carry provided stop sign during all shifts.

Classification

Crossing Guard Employee Group: Not to exceed 48 minutes before and after school (0.8)

Qualification

• Preparation, experience, skills: Must complete required training course and pass quiz before beginning employment.
• Willingness to assume responsibility.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Enjoy working with young people.
• Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them.
• Regular attendance.
